    This course serves a quick simple effective way of explaining the risks associated with Manual Handling and the practical steps that can be taken to manage those risks.

    The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, and amended in 2002 apply to a wide range of manual handling activities, including lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling or carrying. The load may be either animate, such as a person or an animal, or inanimate, such as a box or a trolley. If you are an employer, you need to protect your employees from the risk of injury through manual handling tasks in the workplace. This course will also be useful to employees and their representatives.

    Who Should Take This Course?
    This course is designed for everyone, from employers themselves to all levels of employees and their representatives. Everyone is required to transport a load at sometime, be it by lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving and correctly putting down items.

    Lifting is not restricted to professions such as Warehouse operator or Delivery driver, but can also incude office workers etc.

    In addition to this course we are able to provide a practical assessment for People Lifting and also courses up to and including Manual Handling Instructor / Assessor via our on-site training company Kentra Training Limited www.kentratraining.co.uk these are not compulsory but could be the next step in your ongoing training program.
